Color Self Portrait

I took a picture of each student and then edited them in Photoshop using the cutout filter. I specified 5 layers in my cutout filter. Students created self portraits using the grid method. Students then created a value scale with tempra paint to practice mixing tints and shades. They then painted their self portrait with tints and shades and a complementary color for the background.

Here is the edited photo, printed in black and white with a half inch grid drawn over it.
Here is the drawing with an inch grid over it; it is twice as large as the edited photo above.
Here is the "final" product... except this one isn't finished! (This was my example by the way!)
